Why am I not Losing Weight?

I’ll try to explain in simple short words, we don’t want to waste time here.
I will also try to help you understand why exercising is not the best way to lose weight, and why fad diets actually make you gain weight. These 2 subjects are the most important when it comes to burning actual fat and not just losing the water that your body accumulates and calling it fat burning.
I am exercising but I can’t lose an inch of fat!
The answer is simple for this one. You are consuming too many calories and burning too little.
If you can’t lose weight yet you are exercising constantly means, you have a high calorie diet.
Sure you could say you are eating a low quantity of food, but that does not mean you are eating less calories.
Example (This is what I would order)
Let’s take a McDonald’s Menu. it’s the most popular one after all. You can do this with me here is a link to the Full Menu.
I will order a Big Breakfast, medium Coca-Cola and a Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait. A total of 1260 Calories. We’re doing great now.
Lunch (Assuming you don’t Brunch)
I will order a Big Mac, Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad, medium Coca-Cola, and a Mocha Frappe. A total of 1610 Calories.
Combined with the breakfast we have a total of 2870 calories. This is about as much as a normal adult would want to consume on a daily bases.
I will order a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Cheesy Bacon Fries from Australia, Bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken Salad, and a medium Coca-Cola. 1530
All 3 meals together contain 4400 calories.
Bodybuilders hold special diets to eat over 4000 calories in order to gain muscle mass. And they would also add protein shakes and all that.
But let’s not forget that we often times like to snack between meals, who know how many calories we consume then.
You can burn maybe 300-400 calories a day with a workout and still be far away from your goals.
You will also say but, that’s too much food for a 5’8 165 pounds.
Trust me it’s not, give me 2 hours and I will eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in one sitting, and after 5-6 hours I will be hungry once again.

Fad diets make you gain weight 2x as much!
You know it by experience already that after you drop a diet you gain the weight back really fast and most times you gain more and more. This is no secret to you.
Why are fad diets bad for you? There is a very simple explanation for that.
You eat what you don’t like, and you stop eating what you do. The moment you “finish” the diet or you just don’t want to practice it anymore and just throw in the white towel, you immediately go back to the food you love and start eating eat like it’s the last meal you will ever have. Sounds familiar?
So what is the solution?
It is simple as well.
Continue eating what you like, but change the proportions. Cutting your food intake by 1/3rd will effectively reduce the calories without the need of absolutely any kind of exercises.
You can say this is a joke, but do it for a week and then come back with your results. I will be waiting.
Let’s use the McDonald’s menu further as an example.
If we cut 4400 by 1/3rd we reduce 1450 calories. Now we are at a 2950 calories total.
I personally can live with that amount of daily calories because I also exercise and for me it is optimal.

You will burn 2500 calories a day naturally.

What if I want to change the my daily diet also for more healthy foods?
That’s great news, instead of eating fries with cheese and ketchup you will have something you also enjoy and it has less calories.

Sugary Drinks are Ruining You!
Yes, and exactly!
If you are consuming many drinks that contain sugar in them, this might be your only issue, not even the food.
Try at least reducing them to half, and swapping them with normal bottled water.
You will notice a difference especially in your energy levels.
This is all I have to say. This might apply to you if you consume too many or it might not, really depends on the situation and you know it best.
Do you really need that much sleep?
You don’t need to sleep 12 hours a day, but an 8-9 hour sleep would be great right?
I understand that your situation might not allow it, but finding an extra hour of sleep will not magically burn an extra 1000 calories.
But it will help you me more relaxed stress free during the day. You will fell more energy flowing through your body and will be motivated to advance further with your weight loss goals.
Seek Expert Help!
By expert I mean a legitimate doctor.
Don’t be shy of them, and try to not look at the money. Your health is on the line.
