Hey, my name is Gleb and I am the owner of this website. Thank you for visiting it and showing interest in the content I have written in the past year! I would like to share a short journey in which I have proved myself that I am the one in control.
I have started my journey at 176 lbs, my height is 5’6″. For me that is 20 more than I needed, all fat no muscle. I noticed that to get to the 3rd floor of my apartment was getting harder and harder. And then I noticed that all my clothes are now making me look like the Michelin Man, not a cute sight I will tell you.
Well long story short, I cut my meals 1/3 and started exercising every day for 30-45 minutes.
Now I am not going to push a motivation speech or anything close to it, what I want to say is that I went a little too far. I am now 127 pounds… that is 1 pound less than the recommended weight for my age(26 soon) and height.
I started falling in the other extreme, where I am not interested in food as much. Hard to imagine for someone who used to eat 5-6 times a day and have late night snacks daily. Now I am gaining weight actually, which I never though I will ever want to do it on purpose.
You might want to know the “secret” right? Well there is none. Cut your food by 1/3, exercise for 30 minutes a day and you will be losing 0.2 pounds every day. And in 100 days you will lose 25-30 pounds of fat. You don’t need to buy anything, you don’t need to read any kind of magical “diet” book that has “that little hidden secret” that will help you lose weight.
In just 1 year you could lose 100 pounds, and you don’t need any kind of special book.
I will repeat myself, I went overboard, this is not a good thing. To be honest I haven’t even noticed how fast I lost the weight, but the bad thing is that I was feeling weak and the feeling is worse than when you are fat. (Now that I have seen both sides of the coin I think I can say that, based on my experience.)
What this short journey has thought me is that you should never go too hard on the body by starving it (like I did) or forcing it to gain weight. Now I am eating normally(3 times a day) without counting calories. The food I eat is cooked at home, the ingredients are not processed, very important if you wish to have decent weight and a healthy body. When I feel full I do not force myself even one bite. I do my regular exercises each morning for 30 minutes, and since I have a sitting job, every hour I stand up and walk for 10-15 seconds, and do 10 squats, every 2 hours I take a small pause in my work and go lay down, because a sitting job is very heavy on the back, and legs.
Now I feel much better, I am full of energy and I constantly want to work more, be more productive in the meantime. As soon as I am done with my task and I have free time, I go for a short walk in the nearby park. Not everyday I go to the park after work, sure I might be lazy some times and just grab some frozen berries add Greek yogurt and just enjoy the evening in front of the TV, or just have some friends over or go to their place.
I hope that now you know me better. And if you have any kind of questions or requests to write about a certain issue, I would be very happy to do it. Thank you for your time, love and patience.
